What a wonderful scene! I love darkness and texture of the clouds in contrast
with the grassy green field. A very high definition photograph, I've seen some of your other works, its astonishing! Simple beauty of nature is really eye-capturing and admiring. I like how you captured a bit of sunset far away, its very clear from afar. As well as the trees extending to both sides. Overall, the puddles of water gives the image a nice touch too. The whole picture is simply amazing.
It seems that your focus is to capture this scene of nature. Its well done.

Florida.

But to me this could ancient Vietnam or prehistoric plains of central America. It's one of those pictures that captures a moment in time on our planet. Grasses, in terms of the history of life science, are recent, so this picture is restricted to periods of which we have more knowledge.

Notice how the blades of grass on the floor are life. It's almost as if there are two suns,l or as if the sun were in two different places int he sky; behind the clouds and behind the grass both. But this clearly cannot be. This is one of those images where nature herself dazzles us with trickery as sunlight is reflected off of clouds behind us and bounced back down on the planet surface to give us sense that there is a second almost unnatural light source, giving us a very ethereal looking image. As if we are in some kind of primordial workshop where both sun and Earth are being experimented with by natures natural engineers.

In a more contemporary light this reminds me of a kind of America that one often sees in photographs. Fresh rains upon rural America, regardless of where it is, where we see our nation presented in brilliant sun as storm clouds linger and fade for another cycle of nature to come. Everyday we leave our homes we see the neighbor's car, maybe a tree, maybe some grass, maybe a puddle after a fresh rain, maybe a number of things that are indicative of where we live. For some of us we see hills, some of us see expensive homes built on those hills. Some of us see nothing but traffic and cars as we open our windows to an urban sprawl. Some of use wake up to some mix in suburbia.

But regardless of where we live, this image, this scene, this particular combination of elements; rain, sky, grass, trees, sun, sky, will, for the time being, always be around, and remind us that no matter how big we build our monuments to ourselves, that the real monument is the treasure that nature leaves us in terms of her glory, and more natural history that is to come.

When you come home from work, and if it is sunset or late afternoon, do yourself a favor, and watch for a few moments the visage outside your home, or go to a park and do the same. Because that's what life is all about.
